History of our company

ČKD Kutná Hora a. s. is a Czech producer of steel and ductile iron castings, of welded components and of railway bogies.
1967 - The company began production.
1990 - ČKD became an independent private share-holders company.
Since 1995, it has been fully privatized with no state shares.
2005 - ČKD Kutná Hora, a.s. employs in all its plants 2300 employees and exports 85 % of its products to Europe, the USA and Canada.

The district town of Kutná Hora is proud of the quantity of the historical building monuments from the time of the medieval silver mining and the central mint of the Czech kings who at that time considered Kutná Hora as their second royal seat. In 1996 Kutná Hora was registered on the list of the historical towns of UNESCO.

The town of České Budějovice was founded in 1265 by Czech King Přemysl Otakar II on the confluence of the South Bohemian Rivers Moldau and Malše. České Budějovice has grown into a real metropolis of South Bohemia, both in economy and culture and in 1949 it became the seat of the newly created České Budějovice region.

Chrudim is a beautiful and unique place of our past and of our present. It has its own inseparable plastic appearance which is reflected in the metamorphoses of the old standing centuries, with majesty of fortification, towers of churches and houses as witnesses of the former life.
